Plus size designer Tennille White’s new line for the spring and summer was recently showcased during BET's “Rip The Runway 2010” fashion show.
This year “Rip The Runway” returns with top fashion designers Tennille White, Tracy Reese, KEVA by Keva J Swimwear, Gavin Douglass, and Protege showcasing their latest collections along with some of the hottest names in music.
A charismatic, focused, and extremely artistic fashion designer, Ms. White's finely crafted collection for women size 8 - 28 embodies looks that evoke sophistication and elegance.
Her designs are timeless and her supremely wearable silhouettes with modern details strike a fine balance between simplicity and intricacy.
While Ms. White has been well on her way to setting Chicago’s fashion design industry on fire, she is also one of the country’s up-and-coming young designers, who in a short time has accomplished much and has impressively taken on an exclusive niche market.
Her rapid rise in the fashion world is attributed to not only her design skills, but also her gifted sewing ability. Ms. White personally creates numerous custom orders where she channels her energy and natural instincts by injecting breathtaking life into her own ideas.
Ms. White found her niche from regularly receiving specialized orders from women sized 12+. She has the knack for designing luxurious, yet comfortable contemporary clothing for women with curves.
“I design pieces for everyday women that want to get noticed when they walk into a room,” said Ms. White.
